West Cornwall
Mining heritage, honest food and a town finding its stride
Camborne carried Cornish mining to the world and that story is still written into the granite. Today it is a proper working town: family bakeries, market traders, community projects and a growing set of independents that locals actually use rather than visit.
It is also the quickest way to the north coast, with Portreath and Porthtowan a short drive over the hill for surf, cliff walks and beach cafés.
