Meet Amelia

From Australia to Cornwall

Amelia is an Australian artist living and working in Cornwall.

Her practice spans ceramics, painting, printmaking and pointillism, and she has worked predominantly with pottery since 2022.

Clay, landscape and folklore

She has a strong interest in the natural world, mythology and folklore, and much of the work carries that thread through close, detailed observation.

Her ceramic work includes functional and sculptural pieces, often with playful, organic and slightly whimsical forms.

Making with Cornwall

More recently her practice has focused on sustainable and locally sourced materials, including experimenting with wild clay foraged in Cornwall.

Not every piece is made from wild clay. Where a piece uses it, the individual product will say so.
